Doris Stannat was born in beautiful,
Vancouver Canada.
Since her earliest days she was fond of dolls
and assembled a lot of them.
Her favourite one was called “ Small -
Butterfly “, a doll resembling an Indian girl.
It is obvious that the roots of her talent date
back to this time.

Her two daughters were the first to enjoy
the products of her creativity, cloth-dolls.
In the years that followed she was designing
silver and fashion jewellery, painting pict`s
in water colours and modelling clay.
At a Doll`s Exhibition she discovered
MODELENE, a material which offered the
opportunity to create natural-looking facial
expressions.

That`s how she found her way to fulfill her
dreams, creating Baby dolls she had been in
love with since childhood.
